The Flightless Goose Called Gilbert - 1396 Words
ãâ¬Å Flightless Gooseãâ¬â¹, is a true story. The gooseââ¬â¢s name is Gilbert and he lives in a lake in Columbus, Ohio (Goodman Goodman, 2008). Because of some unfortunate circumstances, Gilbert cant fly south for the winter with other geese (Goodman Goodman, 2008). Gilbert is one of the gang, but he is a very young goose in his flock, and is his running, swimming and flying every day. One day, however, Gilbert was hit by a car, and as a result of this accident, he left unable to fly (Goodman Goodman, 2008).At first, his friends supported him, including his activities, but as time went by, they changed their attitude, and they began to reject him, played tricks on him, and mocked him, calling him Gilbert, flightless goose (Goodman Goodman,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦At the same time, Maria struggled to find new cultures in the new city. Long time ago, there was a man who had three sons called Peter, Paul, and Boots (Kimmel Root, 1992). Their father was so poor; he did not even have any money for his three sons (Kimmel Root, 1992). Therefore, one day, he told his sons they must work hard in the world; they cannot at home to wait surprises (Kimmel Root, 1992). The country had a king, but there were lots of things bothered him, such as, it had an oak tree before his window (Kimmel Root, 1992). The oak tree was very high and very strong; almost all of the sunshine blocked the palace (Kimmel Root, 1992). On the other hand, because the rock was too hard, the king also did not have a well, therefore, he hoped to get a well.
